NCLT & NCLAT Counsel, Delhi | Insolvency and Company Petitions

I appear before the National Company Law Tribunal and the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal at New Delhi, and before the NCLT Chennai. Firms and counsel outside Delhi brief me as their Delhi counsel for NCLAT appeals; operational creditors and corporate debtors instruct me directly.

What the work covers

Section 9 petitions by operational creditors, and their defence on the grounds of pre-existing dispute, limitation and the threshold amount.
Section 7 petitions by financial creditors, and replies on behalf of the corporate debtor.
NCLAT appeals under Section 61 of the Code from orders of admission, rejection and in the course of the corporate insolvency resolution process.
Company petitions under the Companies Act, 2013, and applications before the Tribunal in the course of the CIRP.
Demand notices under Section 8 and replies to them, and written opinions on maintainability before a petition is filed.

Representative work

Representing the Operational Creditor in insolvency proceedings before the NCLAT, in a matter arising in the airline industry.
Represented the Corporate Debtor, a supplier of polyethylene and petrochemical goods, before the NCLT Chennai in a company petition filed by an Operational Creditor.
